Here are some nagtastic ideas from Gymnag. Add to the thread below any good ideas that you've got.

1. Do 5 minutes of stretches while you wait for the kettle to boil
2. Walk to the local store instead of driving
3. Swap one meal for a low-fat stir-fry with vegetables – see how filling a meal it is for so few calories
4. When you feel hungry between meals have a glass of water or chewing gum
5. Have a play fight – it’s fun and get’s the heart going
6. Put on your favourite music and dance!
7. ............

Use the stairs not the lift and if you drive to work park a little bit further away.

Instead of a chocolate bar for a snack, have an apple.

Having read the articles by Carlos Monteiro about ultra processed food, and in particular his thoughts on bread (see here), I thought I'd give up bread for a few weeks to see what effect it had. Well, first of all I have to admit it was tough finding alternative food to eat instead of sandwiches but there are other options available such as pasta and baked potatoes, but the key benefits I found were my weight didn't fluctuate as much - I didn't really lose any weight but then unlike before it didn't really go up and down the same and was a lot more stable. Secondly, I felt a lot less bloated after eating which was much more comfortable!

Now I've finished the experiment I may well continue leaving off the bread, although I will treat myself if it's one of those nice home backed loaves(!) - as Carlos Monteiro said, if it tastes nice on its own it's better than the stodgy tasteless cheap prepacked loaves which are just lumps of calories!

Try dropping the pasta as well and replace those carbs with fruit and veg for a week. I've done this for the last 5 days and eaten just as many calories but lost 5lb of fat and feel great. Done a bit more training though as well and cut out processed foods too, just eating lean meat, fish, veg, salads, fruit and nuts and seeds!
Surprised me how much processed rubbish is in the shops though. Went to a service station at midnight and only thing i could buy that wasn't processed was an apple!
