Funny how evey 1's diffrent. I find rowing on a machine really hard, nothing to distract from the pain. It's a good workout tho,may b i shud get a boat!

I've started doing some running around the local BMX track! This is great interval running training. I tag it onto the end of my usual run and do a few laps (when it's quiet so i don't look to weird!). It's a great workout as running up the bumps you really have to push hard and you can't get into any comfortable rhythm. Also the banked sections make you have to run faster to so that you don't slide down. Run it both ways though so you give each leg the same workload if it's a circular course.

Tried this the other day. Set a treadmill at 10% incline and 15kph and do a set of tabata's (20 secs on, 10 secs rest x 8). Adjust the speed up or down to your own limit so that the 20 secs is at 100% output. It's my favourite for results and seems to shred fat for hours afterwards but the mere thought of it scars the hell out of me and it's one of the most uncomfortable, horrendous 4mins you could suffer. edited by gymnag_Rob on 12/11/2010

Tabata on the treadmill is a killer but amazing for improving cardio and fat burning

A lot of traditional exercises are becoming more popular again as they do work.

A good one for me is tabata jumping - but when you jump bring your knees up to your chest. Doesn't sound much but is a killer!
