I'd just be wary with dried fruits as they contain concentrated amounts of sugar. Good for during exercise or for a post exercise snack though.

I agree but it's better dried fruit (1 or 2) than a wine gum or chocolate as they count towards your 5-a-day, have fibre and vitamins/minerals. I also think they taste nicer than sweets as each one has a slightly different flavour, some more intense than others

I love dates and raisins too,try a few with porridge as a sweetener or as a snack when exercising, because as said got a lot of good nutrients and eaten in small amounts or at the right times when your body needs the sugar is fine and far better than sweets/biscuits etc.
